Why “ Vaurien today” ?
This is an important question
when we refer to a boat born more then half a century ago.
When hearing the word Vaurien
many people tend to imagine a very old-fashion boat
still the way it used to be in the beginning.
On this web-site we wish to give knowledge of Vaurien the way it is today.
The boat is “forever young”,
thanks to advices coming in the time from thousands of navigators
and thanks to the coordination of the Technical Committees,
in the original mind of J.J Herbulot.
I think that in this year, after the ISAF’s agreement,
the Vaurien will have the most important adjournment after the use of GRP
(Glass Reinforced Plastic). 
That is the new sails, and other modification to reduce the cost,
again thanks to the “vaurien people”
The Vaurien will be faster and cheaper!
More young people in the world sailing with the Vaurien
is the main objective of the Class.
Lately, in the International Organisation ( Comité International du Vaurien)
we defined the new function of “communication”. 
With this support, in our web site, still under construction,
you will find many information not only from the linked National Associations,
but also from the VAURIEN PEOPLE overall in the world,
with an international forum, news with interview and so on.
