Personal sail numbers are a way of individualizing your boat.

• Personal sail numbers (PN) are assigned nationally, so there can be both “FRA 1” and “GER 1,” for example.

• Personal sail numbers are limited to three digits, ranging from 1 to 999. Single and double-digit numbers may be padded with leading zeros. For instance, someone wishing to have “GER 1” may also use “GER 01” or “GER 001.”

• The personal sail number belongs to the respective skipper, who may use it on all Vaurien boats he sails on instead of the hull sail number.

• Personal sail numbers are assigned for a calendar year. The initial assignment and the first year cost a total of €50, and each subsequent year costs €20.

If you would like a personal sail number, please contact your National Vaurien Class Association.
