Vaurien World Championship

Each year about 80 Vaurien teams meet for the annual Vaurien World Championship.

We usually have participants from Europe, Africa, and South America. Occasionally, also a team from the Carribean or Asia joins in our championship. Besides the official Vaurien World Champion, we have separate rankings and prices in the categories
  • Junior: 22 years or younger
  • Master: Sum of crew ages 90+
  • Female
  • Mixed

64th Vaurien World Championship, 2026, will be held in Travemünde, Germany

AS Vaurien Germany hosts the 64th Vaurien World Championship, 2026, in Travemünde as part of the famous Travemünder Woche.

The date will be July 18-24, 2026.

The Vaurien World Championship returns to Travemünde for a 2nd time after the now legendary 2018 Vaurien World Championship. The warm waters of the Baltic sea, the ever-changing and suprisingly windy conditions combined with warm weather are still the talk for many.
