Personal sail numbers

Personal sail numbers (PN) are assigned nationally, so there can be both „FRA 1“ and „GER 1,“ for example.

Personal sail numbers are limited to three digits, ranging from 1 to 999. Single and double-digit numbers may be padded with leading zeros. For instance, someone wishing to have „GER 1“ may also use „GER 01“ or „GER 001.“

The personal sail number belongs to the respective skipper, who may use it on all Vaurien boats he sails on instead of the hull sail number.

Personal sail numbers are assigned for a calendar year. The initial assignment and the first year cost a total of €50, and each subsequent year costs €20.
